The Kudelski Group continues its expansion in Asia and in Australia with two new important contracts in these regions.
In April 2001, the Kudelski Group announced the conclusion of a contract with an Australian operator. This announcement is now being made official : the operator is Cable & Wireless Optus, one of the major digital television operators in Australia.
The contract concluded between Nagravision and Optus represents a decisive step for the Kudelski Group in its penetration of the cable market in Australia.
Additionally, Nagravision has also made a significant breakthrough in a key region in Asia, Hong Kong. Its conditional access system has been chosen by Hong Kong Cable Television Limited, Hong Kong's leading pay television service provider, in order to operate its migration from analog to digital conditional access television.
